Shaping The Future
of Financial Services
Olympus was developed initially as an electronic banking platform 2001 servicing one of the Banks in South Africa. A redeveloped Olympus 3.0 was deployed handling transaction integrations between cash acceptance customers, handling the reporting and accounting of the transactions and switching the transactions through integrations into another two Major South African Banks. It operated in this capacity from 2006 to 2012 processing at peak an estimated 1800 transactions per second,
and a total of 5000 account with a total transaction volume of 3 000 000 transactions per month. In 2009 we started development of Mobile Money acquiring modules
for accepting debit card-based transactions using the PayD 1.0 transaction structure. The main client for this was the purchasing and delivery of airtime vouchers for the two main cellular providers in South Africa.
This system is integrated to most of the major South African system operators with continuous processing which is one of the core features of the Olympus system.
Olympus has an Alliance Banking Sponsorship agreement with Growbank Limited.

Keep banking simple
Olympus is essentially a workflow processing engine with specialised extensions, underpinned by a financial dual entry accounting system. The system allows for the integration, switching and processing of card, virtual and batch transactions in the traditional banking environment with connections to the most widely used industry applications.
The processing of the transactions follows the work flows defined by business rules that can be extended dynamically and over time as the business logic and environment changes.
The business rules applied to the defined transactions can also be extended to incorporate fraud checking, notifications, verification and even additional workflows.
